An important part of my creative process is archiving. This body consists of “time textures'' created using macro-photography to show what feels like shifting voids of color and texture. Each is its own character in a sense. When displayed as large-scale video installation, the pieces can create a powerful frequency and experience for viewers, especially when sequenced intentionally considering vibrancy and movement. This archive was inspired by my first experience with James Turrel’s Ganzfeld where he uses space and color to distort perception and create physical impression. My contribution in this context is the use of everyday objects and materials displayed for viewers to get lost in, and experience in a contemplative manner.
